Where It All Started
When my father died, I shared information about him, his life and who he was. However, the service delivered was not reflective of the man I knew and loved. It made the whole experience even more upsetting.
When my husband and I married, we had a civil ceremony that was not only sincere and fun, but truly reflected who we are and mapped out the life we wanted to share together.
These experiences made me want to provide reflective life ceremonies for others.
So I underwent civil celebrancy training, combining this with my professional background in sales and marketing; one that meant I was already a confident and articulate public speaker.
Funerals & Memorials
I care about making your loved one's funeral the best that it can be.
I'll listen to you to ensure that the essence of the person is captured and shared with family and friends.
So, whether you want a tribute-style ceremony or a fully participative one, I will work with you to ensure that you have the life celebration that you want.
If you are choosing a woodland burial, internment or cremation, contact me - I can help make this a ceremony that properly reflects the life that has passed.
Stunning and Memorable
Weddings & Partnerships
Making this commitment to each other will be a celebration of your love, whether an intimate event with the closest of friends and family or a large scale.
My objective is to make sure that your ceremony is memorable and full of meaning.
I can assist you in the writing of your vows and timings, if you need it.
My role is to help you achieve the wedding day of your dreams and I'll be delighted to work with you and with those involved in your preparations.
Naming ceremonies are an alternative to a Christening.
They can be undertaken at any time when names are being changed, whether it be a newborn, after adoption or second marriages.
Inclusion of all family members is at the heart of what I do and key to such an important occasion - one that celebrates a child, no matter their age, being welcomed into the family.
Whatever the circumstances, a civil celebrant is there to make your vow renewal special.
It could be to mark a special anniversary or just because you are still so in love you want to shout it from the roof tops!
Either way, a renewal ceremony can be just as special, if not more so, as your original wedding or partnership day.
I'll listen to you and work with you to create a truly memorable occasion.
What Others Have to Say....
"I just wanted to say a massive thank you for all your help with this Funeral.
I am very grateful that you have gone the extra mile with this family and also helped me with completing the order of service yourself."
Theresa Jones, Funeral Arranger
"Take great care of yourself & thank you again for your contribution to the wonderful send off we gave our Val. Xx"
Jane was the consummate professional throughout the wedding planning process and during the wedding day itself. She spoke individually and collectively to the bride and groom in advance of the day in order to find the correct balance and atmosphere for the wedding ceremony. Her manner was warm throughout and yet she maintained a professional demeanour which reflected the serious commitment being made.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Jane as a celebrant. She's very very good!
Julie, Mother of the Bride
“Our friend had such a strength of character any ‘normal’ funeral would have fallen well short of how she and we would have wished to say goodbye. Jane sensitively orchestrated a wonderful farewell located in the most glorious Dorset countryside, collating the memories of dear friends, providing the natural habitat that perfectly suited the person who had been such a force in our lives. Whether it be a funeral, a wedding, a partnership or a naming I have no doubts in recommending Jane as the celebrant. ”
"Jane displayed many excellent qualities throughout the time she spent with us.
She was supportive and sympathetic to everyone’s needs and emotions. As a family we would highly recommend Jane's services as a Civil Celebrant and have every confidence in her professionalism, empathy and ability to lead a service that is so personal.”
“I just wanted to say thank you for the lovely service you put together for Carol last week. Jamie and I really appreciate all of your help and we were really pleased with how the service went. We also got a lot of feedback from the people who attended the funeral about how nice it was.”
“Many thanks ... for delivering a wonderful service on Friday. Everyone we spoke with throughout the day was in agreement that the service captured our Mum perfectly, and the upbeat nature of the service carried on through to the wake, all of which helped to provide a very fitting send off for our Mum."
“`THANKS for yesterday, everyone said it was just perfect and I really appreciate your efforts. Malcolm x”
“Jane did a service for the internment of my husband's ashes with myself & family attending. She was very sympathetic to our needs as it was a very emotional day. I can't praise Jane enough for the lovely service she did & made it very personal to us. She was very professional & I can highly recommend her as a Civil Celebrant.”
"Thank you so much for yesterday, Millie's ceremony was just what we wanted. We all really enjoyed it. Glad you like the jasmine.”
“Our friend had been such a huge character for so long, that anything mainstream, normal or sad would just not be appropriate at her funeral. The most amazing venue was chosen and Jane led us through the proceedings. Jane managed to encapsulate the spirit of our dear friend into a solemn, uplifting and sometimes funny celebration of our friend’s life. I wouldn’t hesitate to use her again for any of the key celebrations in my life. I’d also strongly recommend her to anyone needing a celebrant who is both personal and professional. Thanks so much Jane.”
Jane was extremely good and thank you for making a stressful situation so easy and calming for all our family. You were so supportive to all the family - young and old, especially those who contributed on the day. We are most thankful. Having done such a wonderful ceremony for my father we would like to book you for our forthcoming Vow Renewal Ceremony.”

Working with you
Providing a personal service
Whatever the occasion you are looking to plan, give me a call to schedule an appointment. Let's discuss how I can help.
Vital and Friendly
Getting to know you and your loved one is of paramount importance.
I will meet with you to learn more about you, so that I can deliver a truly reflective ceremony.
This is not something I believe can be done over the telephone, it requires a face to face meeting.
So whether it be a funeral, wedding, vow renewal or naming ceremony I will take the time to meet with you.
Life Affirming & Truly Reflective
What is said on the day should be all-encompassing of a life lived or a future to be shared.
Ceremonies are written to be delivered by either myself or by a third party and a full scripting service is available in part or as a whole.
We only have one opportunity to get this right so consultation throughout the process is vital.
ORDER OF SERVICE
Whatever the circumstances, everyone should know the order of events so that they know how, when and if they are to participate.
Presentation of information can be simple or elaborate and I am here to help you deliver this. I can work with professional design and print companies or provide an in-house service.
An order of service provides a lasting memory of the occasion.
